Synopsis

What initially looks like a routine mandate soon turns out to be an explosive criminal case: "Lawyer without a license" Thomas Borchert and his boss Dominique Kuster get a visit from Louise Schneider and her daughter Viola.

Her husband and father Anton Schneider died of MS, and Viola in particular makes serious medical errors for his neurologist Dr. Hoffer responsible for it. Hoffer, who is represented by Borchert's friend, star lawyer Reto Zanger, of all people, rejects all guilt and insists on an autopsy. This brings surprising things to light: Anton Schneider took his own life - probably with the help of his wife.

However, the public prosecutor's office made a murder charge out of the non-criminal assisted euthanasia, as it was also proven that the man had been administered toxic substances over a longer period of time. Borchert wants to prove his client's innocence and bravely interferes in Captain Furrer's investigation. What is Anton Schneider's visits to a pharmaceutical company all about and what does Hoffer have to do with it? There is an assassination attempt on Borchert...
