Synopsis
Hannah Zeiler (Nora Waldstätten) and Micha Oberländer (Matthias Koeberlin) find a newly born baby floating in a basket on the water. A message in it confirms the incomprehensible: The child's mother is Rita Hafner (Larissa Fuchs), who disappeared a good six months ago and of whom the commissioners previously assumed that she had been murdered. The main suspect was the previously celebrated opera star Veit Steindl (Nicki von Tempelhoff), who had an extramarital relationship with Rita Hafner. The inspectors dive deeper and deeper into historical lore, mysterious symbols, and dark legends, with only one goal: to save Rita Hafner. When Zeiler falls into the clutches of the perpetrator during the investigation, there are no more rules for Oberländer and Komlatschek (Hary Prinz).
