Paula Friedrich抵達河內，準備前往一家豪華飯店申請廚師工作，卻碰上一連串莫名的遭遇。她一抵達越南，護照掃描儀出警示訊號，顯示Paula已經入境。這一定是誤會吧？然而在澄清之前，Paula必須交出她的護照，廚師面試也泡湯了。禍不單行的是，她在回飯店的路上被搶，自己也摔倒，富有魅力的德裔越南醫生Danh Cao在臨近的醫院治療她的傷勢。與Danh相遇，似乎有助於Paula放下入境之後的瘋狂遭遇。當Paula終於到達旅館，她發現自己竟有個住在越南的雙胞胎妹妹，兩人在出生後就交由東德當局另尋收養家庭。她的生母在兩年前去世，律師正在尋找她和雙胞胎姐妹，以便繼承柏林一棟公寓，還要給她們一張母親留下的DVD。Paula的世界變了調，她立即開始尋找雙胞胎姐妹Marie。Danh Cao醫生已經被Paula打動，他將盡可能協助她。在尋找Marie的過程中，Paula首先找到了Marie的女兒Lingh。第一次見到姑姑，Lingh顯得不知所措。在Paula找到Marie之前，她得先穿越一片叢林，姐妹倆才得以見面。

Synopsis
When Paula Friedrich lands in Hanoi to apply as a sous-cook in a luxury hotel, they catch up with the shadows of the past. Upon arrival, the passport scanner goes crazy and identifies Paula as having already entered the country. That can only be a misunderstanding. Until clarification, Paula has to hand in her passport. And then the appointment with the head chef breaks. A misfortune rarely comes alone: on the way back to her hotel, Paula falls when her bag is torn from her on the street. The charismatic German-Vietnamese doctor Danh Cao treats her injury in the nearby hospital. The encounter with Danh seems to be the right means to forget the exciting first hours in Hanoi. When Paula finally arrives at her hotel,Has a twin sister in Vietnam who, like her, was given up for adoption by the authorities in the GDR after she was born. Her birth mother died two years ago, and the lawyer is looking for the twins who have inherited an apartment building in Berlin. But also to give them a DVD from their mother. This opens up a completely different world for Paula, and she immediately goes in search of her second half - her sister Marie.
