臺灣很多地區都遭到外來火蟻的侵襲，這些螞蟻的刺有毒，並大規模毀壞莊稼和房屋，它們已成為極大的威脅，而且抗打擊能力非常強。

Areas in Taiwan are infested by the red imported fire ant. Extremely resilient, they are a threat because of the venom in their sting and the damage they do to crops and properties.
