The Army Rangers trace their origins back to American Revolution when George Washington formed an elite unit of men to run dangerous recon missions. WWII spawned the Navy Seals when the US needed covert amphibous troops and the Cold War launched the Green Berets. ULTIMATE SOLDIER CHALLENGE matches US Special Op units against the most elite forces from around the world in a head-to-head competition that's a showdown of strength, smarts, and strategy. Each episode will feature two, two-person teams who will compete against each other in 5 challenges. They gain points with each challenge and a winner is crowned at the end of the show. The competitions will be based on real-life special operations such as sniper takedowns or sneaking into an enemy base undetected, which will give the show authenticity. Further, this competition provides a gateway into military technology, showing off the latest in weapons, communications, transportation and cutting edge field .
